matcha pie
Ingredients: Crust
1/2 cup flour
2 Tbsp butter
Pinch salt
3 tbsp ice water
Ingredients: Pie filling
2 eggs
3 Tbsp butter
1/4 cup flour
2 tsp cornstarch
Pinch Salt
1 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
Dash of vanilla
2-3 Tbsp matcha (to preference)
Blend crust ingredients in food processor/ mix by hand, roll it into a ball and refrigerate it
Blend custard ingredients in food processor (or add wet to dry ingredients)
Put custard mixture in pot, stir on medium heat for about 15 minutes until thick and smooth
Roll out pie crust on buttered skillet (or pie pan), poke holes on the bottom. Bake 15 min 350
Place custard into pie crust and bake another 20 minutes 350.
Enjoy, hot or cold :)

poke holes all over, then place baking weights (I put a small ramekin) to prevent the bottom from bubbling up.
bake 15 minutes at 350F. This is called “Blind Baking” :)
once the crust is baked, place or pipe the custard and level it out.
bake another 20 minutes at 350F.
