Kimbap
If you're a fan of Korean cuisine, you're going to love this recipe for Kimbap! Kimbap is a popular Korean dish that's often described as a Korean version of sushi- but not quite the same at all! While sushi rolls have raw fish, everything in Kimbap is cooked. Kimbap is made with rice seasoned with sesame oil and salt, vegetables, and meat or seafood. All the ingredients are cooked and then rolled in seaweed and sliced into bite-sized pieces. It's perfect as a snack, lunch, or even as a party appetizer. Whether you're a fan of Korean food or simply looking for a new and tasty dish to try, this recipe is sure to hit the spot. Enjoy.
Spread a thin layer of cooked rice over a sheet of seaweed paper (specific for kimbap!) and leave the last inch of the paper uncovered on one side
To one half of the paper, add 2 perilla leaves, the cooked egg, avocado, bulgogi, sauteed carrots, and blanched spinach
You can use a bamboo mat to roll the kimbap or your hands (just be careful not to let all of the ingredients explode the seaweed)
While youβre rolling the kimbap, smidge a little bit of rice (like glue!) between the edges so the seaweed paper stays intact
When you're done rolling, cut the roll into bite-sized pieces and brush them with sesame oil
Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy!
