Ingredients

2 Tbsp gochujang
1 Tbsp soysauce
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp gochugaru
1 Tsp minced garlic

1 lb thinly sliced pork
1/2 an onion
Oil (for frying)
Scallions
Sesame seeds
Lettuce or perilla leaf (optional)

  1. On a cutting board, slice the pork into bite-sized pieces

  2. In a bowl, mix together the gochujang, soysauce, sugar, gochugaru, and minced garlic into a smooth paste (for the sauce!)

  3. Using your hands (you can wear gloves), evenly coat the pork with the sauce mixture

  4. Put the coated pork into an airtight container and let it rest overnight in the fridge

    The next day —

  5. Drizzle a pan with oil and stir fry the scallions on medium heat until they’re fragrant

  6. Add the pork, onions, and more scallions, and stir fry for about 10 minutes on medium heat, or until the pork is fully cooked

  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy with a bowl of rice or wrap the meat in lettuce/perilla leaf, and enjoy!
